Xmas Market 2020

Dear Stall holders, Students, Families and Friends

My name is Hazel Rigby and I am taking over the organisation of the Winterbourne Academy Xmas Market Event, should it go ahead this year. Understandably the school is still unsure about what regulations will be in place near Christmas and will not be able to confirm a possible date for the Xmas Market until term starts.

We are hoping that with social distancing precautions, perhaps a one way system, hand sanitisers and face masks if necessary, that the market will still be able to go ahead. Unfortunately it seems we will get very little notice & time to confirm and organise it. But we are absolutely hoping to carry on as usual this year and celebrate our community and Christmas and support our local crafters and business people with the Xmas market and raise much needed funds.

The Friends of WA raise funds which are used to directly benefit the school children, improve their environment, learning opportunities, support their needs and make projects and facilities possible that can not be funded by the school.

Once we have a date we will update this page with more details and a downloadable application form if you would like to have your own stall at the market. In the mean time you can send me your name, address, email, company name, telephone number, product details and whether you have liability insurance to my email address below and i will add you to my database.

If you know of others who may be interested in attending please share this information.

Please contact me if you need to at

The Friends of Winterbourne Academy is an association of parents, staff and community members who work for the benefit of the pupils of the Academy.

It seeks to do this by creating stronger links between the school, parents, and the local community, and also via practical activities such as fundraising.

Over the years the school has received tremendous support and generous financial aid thanks to these volunteers.

All parents are invited to support The Friends, either by becoming a member of the committee, by volunteering to help at events, or simply participating in our various fundraising/social activities.

How can I get involved?

There are loads of ways to become involved; from volunteering your time at an event, helping behind the scenes, or just coming along to meet other parents and offering some fresh new ideas that you might help us take forward- please do make contact and we can provide more information.
